Just as bad--and more disturbing--are the strange psychic Callings: the Miscria, an entity that pulls him from consciousness and imposes bizarre demands for information on everything from fortress construction to triage, and the Master, who has been slowly trying to turn him into a psychic killer. Then comes Intern Joshua Lawson who takes Deryl at his word and teaches him to accept and use his abilities. Suddenly, Deryl discovers the Miscria is humanoid, alien, female and trying desperately to protect her people from an invading alien army which the Master leads. When Deryl learns to teleport and goes to her, he finds an even greater danger--the worlds of the Miscria and the Master are on a collision course and he alone can stop them. (Book 3 in the works.)

This novel has been a long time coming. After some wonderful ideas and rewrites, a computer error took the entire manuscript and the back-ups. I'm beginning anew in August. While this book has had many terrible fits and starts, it calls to me like none of my other works.
